This text file should accompany the file JOKES.DBF

What is it?
-----------
JOKES is a Psion database application file con-
tainig, guess what, jokes. These gags are not meant
to offend anyone, nor are they intended at any one
person or group of persons in particular. Please
don't install and read this file if you don't have
a sense of humour, and don't come running to me if
you are offended by something contained in the file.

Why?
----
I thought it would be nice if there were a light-
hearted bit of kit in the libraries, something to
make us all smile now and then.

What now?
---------

I assume that you have some interest in this file,
as well as a sense of humour. (Otherwise you would
not have downloaded it, right?) If you can think of
a reasonalbly clean computer related joke, or a
quote, a saying, or just something funny, then
please add it to the file and upload it to where-
ever you got it from. You must adhere to the foll-
owing guidelines *before* uploading:

 1) Nothing too smutty or racist to be added.
 2) Please use the English language.
 3) Add your name to the UPDATES.TXT file in the
    same way as the person above you.
 4) Make sure that none of the 3 files is corrupt.
 5) ZIP the three files, then make sure they can be
    un-ZIPed again.
 6) E-MAIL ME BEFORE UPLOADING!!! This is important
    because if two users want to upload at the same
    time then one of the versions will get lost. I
    will reply to you and give you the go-ahead.
 7) Upload your version using the following fields
    to complete the necessary bits:
    FILE NAME:  jokes.zip
    TITLE:      Jokes database
    DESCRIPTION:A database of amusing text for the
                Psion range of Palmtop conputers.
                Revision: <nn>
 8) <nn> is the number from the UPDATES.TXT file

file (JOKES.DBF) and can not be blamed if you choose
to take offence at anything contained therein.
The rights to this file (JOKES.DBF) remain with me,
and you may only upload it in its modified state if
the modifications conform to the above given spe-
cifications, and then only after notifying me of
your intention to do so and having received my
approval.
